""Sapagkat ''Nasa kanya ang ating buhay, pagkilos at pagkatao'" Tulad ng sinabi ng ilan sa inyong mga makata, 'Tayo nga'y mga anak niya.'"  Acts 17:28

"Sa wakas, mga kapatid, dapat maging laman ng inyong isip ang mga bagay na karapat-dapat at kapuri-puri: mga bagay na totoo, marangal, matuwid, malinis, kaibig-ibig, at kagalang galang."  Philippians 4:8

Mark
Chapter 9

THE SECOND PREDICTION OF PASSION

30
They left from there and began a journey through Galilee, but he did not wish anyone to know about it.
31
He was teaching his disciples and telling them, "The Son of Man is to be handed over to men and they will kill him, and three days after his death he will rise."
32
But they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

Mark
Chapter 8

THE FIRST PREDICTION OF THE PASSION

31
He began to teach them that the Son of Man 7 must suffer greatly and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and rise after three days.
32
He spoke this openly. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
33
At this he turned around and, looking at his disciples, rebuked Peter and said, "Get behind me, Satan. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do."
34
He summoned the crowd with his disciples and said 8 to them, "Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
35
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel 9 will save it.
36
What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
37
What could one give in exchange for his life?
38
Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels."

Acts
Chapter 17
PAUL IN ATHENS

16
3 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he grew exasperated at the sight of the city full of idols.
17
So he debated in the synagogue with the Jews and with the worshipers, and daily in the public square with whoever happened to be there.
18
Even some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers 4 engaged him in discussion. Some asked, "What is this scavenger trying to say?" Others said, "He sounds like a promoter of foreign deities," because he was preaching about 'Jesus' and 'Resurrection.'
19
They took him and led him to the Areopagus 5 and said, "May we learn what this new teaching is that you speak of?
20
For you bring some strange notions to our ears; we should like to know what these things mean."
21
Now all the Athenians as well as the foreigners residing there used their time for nothing else but telling or hearing something new.
22
Then Paul stood up at the Areopagus and said: 6 "You Athenians, I see that in every respect you are very religious.
23
For as I walked around looking carefully at your shrines, I even discovered an altar inscribed, 'To an Unknown God.' 7 What therefore you unknowingly worship, I proclaim to you.
24
The God who made the world and all that is in it, the Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands,
25
nor is he served by human hands because he needs anything. Rather it is he who gives to everyone life and breath and everything.
26
He made from one 8 the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions,
27
so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us.
28
For 'In him we live and move and have our being,' 9 as even some of your poets have said, 'For we too are his offspring.'
29
Since therefore we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the divinity is like an image fashioned from gold, silver, or stone by human art and imagination.
30
God has overlooked the times of ignorance, but now he demands that all people everywhere repent
31
because he has established a day on which he will 'judge the world with justice' through a man he has appointed, and he has provided confirmation for all by raising him from the dead."
32
When they heard about resurrection of the dead, some began to scoff, but others said, "We should like to hear you on this some other time."
33
And so Paul left them.
34
But some did join him, and became believers. Among them were Dionysius, a member of the Court of the Areopagus, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Philippians
Chapter 4
LIVE IN CONCORD / JOY AND PEACE
1
1 Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.
2
I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche 2 to come to a mutual understanding in the Lord.
3
Yes, and I ask you also, my true yokemate, 3 to help them, for they have struggled at my side in promoting the gospel, along with Clement and my other co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4
Rejoice 4 in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!
5
Your kindness 5 should be known to all. The Lord is near.
6
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
7
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 6
9
Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you. 7

John
Chapter 8
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

12
5 Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
13
So the Pharisees said to him, "You testify on your own behalf, so your testimony cannot be verified."
14
Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I do testify on my own behalf, my testimony can be verified, 6because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I come from or where I am going.
15
You judge by appearances, 7 but I do not judge anyone.
16
And even if I should judge, my judgment is valid, because I am not alone, but it is I and the Father who sent me.
17
Even in your law 8 it is written that the testimony of two men can be verified.
18
I testify on my behalf and so does the Father who sent me."
19
So they said to him, "Where is your father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
20
He spoke these words while teaching in the treasury in the temple area. But no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

Proverbs
Chapter 28
VARIUS COUNSELS
1
The wicked man flees although no one pursues him; but the just man, like a lion, feels sure of himself.

4
2 Those who abandon the law praise the wicked man, but those who keep the law war against him.
5
Evil men understand nothing of justice, but those who seek the LORD understand all.

19
He who cultivates his land will have plenty of food, but from idle pursuits a man has his fill of poverty.

FOR OUR SPIRITUAL BELIEF IN LIFE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
