TEACHING OF GOSPELTEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
LENTEN SEASON
SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE IN WEALTH AND GOODNESS
AND PEACE AND UNITY

Filipos 4:8

John
Chapter 12

RECAPITULATIONS

44
Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me,
45
and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.
46
I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness.
47
And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world.
48
Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day,
49
because I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and speak.
50
And I know that his commandment is eternal life. So what I say, I say as the Father told me."

Luke
Chapter 12

WEALTH IN HEAVEN

32
Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.
33
Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy.
34
For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

Luke
Chapter 14

CONDUCT OF INVITED GUEST AND HOST

7
4 He told a parable to those who had been invited, noticing how they were choosing the places of honor at the table.
8
"When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, do not recline at table in the place of honor. A more distinguished guest than you may have been invited by him,
9
and the host who invited both of you may approach you and say, 'Give your place to this man,' and then you would proceed with embarrassment to take the lowest place.
10
Rather, when you are invited, go and take the lowest place so that when the host comes to you he may say, 'My friend, move up to a higher position.' Then you will enjoy the esteem of your companions at the table.
11
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted."
12
Then he said to the host who invited him, "When you hold a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, in case they may invite you back and you have repayment.
13
Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;
14
blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

Romans
Chapter 14

CONSIDERATION FOR THE WEAK CONSCIENCE

13
Then let us no longer judge one another, but rather resolve never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
14
I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; still, it is unclean for someone who thinks it unclean.
15
If your brother is being hurt by what you eat, your conduct is no longer in accord with love. Do not because of your food destroy him for whom Christ died.
16
So do not let your good be reviled.
17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of food and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy Spirit;
18
whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by others.
19
Let us 4 then pursue what leads to peace and to building up one another.
20
For the sake of food, do not destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to become a stumbling block by eating;
21
it is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.
22
Keep the faith (that) you have to yourself in the presence of God; blessed is the one who does not condemn himself for what he approves.
23
But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because this is not from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. 5

2 Thessalonians
Chapter 1
THE JUDGEMENT DAY

1
1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2
grace to you and peace from God (our) Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3
2 We ought to thank God always for you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.
4
Accordingly, we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God regarding your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and the afflictions you endure.
5
This is evidence of the just judgment of God, so that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God for which you are suffering.
6
For it is surely just on God's part to repay with afflictions those who are afflicting you,
7
and to grant rest along with us to you who are undergoing afflictions, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,
8
in blazing fire, inflicting punishment on those who do not acknowledge God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9
These will pay the penalty of eternal ruin, separated from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power,
10
when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones 3 and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed, for our testimony to you was believed.
11
To this end, we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose and every effort of faith,
12
4 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians
Chapter 4
JOY AND PEACE
1
1 Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, beloved.
2
I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche 2 to come to a mutual understanding in the Lord.
3
Yes, and I ask you also, my true yokemate, 3 to help them, for they have struggled at my side in promoting the gospel, along with Clement and my other co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4
Rejoice 4 in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice!
5
Your kindness 5 should be known to all. The Lord is near.
6
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
7
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 6
9
Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you. 7

Luke
Chapter 16

THE PARABLE OF THE RICHMAN AND LAZARUS

19
12 "There was a rich man 13 who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day.
20
And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
21
who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man's table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores.
22
When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried,
23
and from the netherworld, 14 where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.
24
And he cried out, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.'
25
Abraham replied, 'My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented.
26
Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.'
27
He said, 'Then I beg you, father, send him to my father's house,
28
for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.'
29
But Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.'
30
15 He said, 'Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
31
Then Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'"

Psalms
Chapter 85
PRAYER FOR DIVINE FAVOR

7
Please give us life again, that your people may rejoice in you.
8
Show us, LORD, your love; grant us your salvation.
9
2 I will listen for the word of God; surely the LORD will proclaim peace To his people, to the faithful, to those who trust in him.
10
Near indeed is salvation for the loyal; prosperity will fill our land.
11
3 Love and truth will meet; justice and peace will kiss.
12
Truth will spring from the earth; justice will look down from heaven.
13
The LORD will surely grant abundance; our land will yield its increase.
14
Prosperity will march before the Lord, and good fortune will follow behind.

FOR OUR SPIRITUAL BELIEF IN LIFE

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
