SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
"PAGLILIGTAS NI KRISTO HESUS"
"LENTEN SEASON"

Luke 16:11

Luke
Chapter 1

The Canticle of Zechariah

67Then Zechariah his father, filled with the holy Spirit, prophesied, saying:

68* “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,

for he has visited and brought redemption to his people.k

69* He has raised up a horn for our salvation
within the house of David his servant,
70even as he promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old:

71salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,

72to show mercy to our fathers

and to be mindful of his holy covenant

73and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father,
and to grant us that, 74rescued from the hand of enemies,
without fear we might worship him 75in holiness and righteousness
before him all our days.

76And you, child, will be called prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord* to prepare his ways,

77to give his people knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,

78because of the tender mercy of our God
by which the daybreak from on high* will visit us

79to shine on those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

80The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the desert until the day of his manifestation to Israel.

Matthew
Chapter 21
The Entry into Jerusalem

1 When they drew near Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on theMount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

2saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find an ass tethered, and a colt with her.* Untie them and bring them here to me.

3And if anyone should say anything to you, reply, ‘The master has need of them.’ Then he will send them at once.”

4 This happened so that what had been spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled:

5 “Say to daughter Zion,

‘Behold, your king comes to you,
meek and riding on an ass,
and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”

6The disciples went and did as Jesus had ordered them.

7 They brought the ass and the colt and laid their cloaks over them, and he sat upon them.
8 The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and strewed them on the road.

9 The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying:
“Hosanna* to the Son of David;
blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord;
hosanna in the highest.”

10And when he entered Jerusalem the whole city was shaken* and asked, “Who is this?”
11And the crowds replied, “This is Jesus the prophet,* from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Galatians

Chapter 3
Justification by Faith

1O stupid* Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2I want to learn only this from you:b did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard?* 3Are you so stupid?c After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh?

4Did you experience so many things* in vain?—if indeed it was in vain.

5Does, then, the one who supplies the Spirit to you and works mighty deeds among you do so from works of the law or from faith in what you heard?

6Thus Abraham “believed God,e and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

7* Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham.

8Scripture, which saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold the good news to Abraham, saying, “Through you shall all the nations be blessed.”

9Consequently, those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham who had faith.

10For all who depend on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not persevere in doing all the things written in the book of the law.”i

11And that no one is justified before God by the law is clear, for “the one who is righteous by faith will live.”

12But the law does not depend on faith; rather, “the one who does these things will live by them.”

13Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree,”

14that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 15
The Resurrection Event

50 This I declare, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption* inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,

52 in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For that which is corruptible must clothe itself with incorruptibility, and that which is mortal must clothe itself with immortality.

54 And when this which is corruptible clothes itself with incorruptibility and this which is mortal clothes itself with immortality, then the word that is written shall come about:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.

55Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin,* and the power of sin is the law.e 57But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Hebrews
Chapter 10
Recalling the Past

19Therefore, brothers, since through the blood of Jesus we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuary
20 by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,
21 and since we have “a great priest over the house of God,”

22let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience* and our bodies washed in pure water.

23Let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope, for he who made the promise is trustworthy.

24We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works.

25We should not stay away from our assembly,* as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.

26* s If we sin deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins

27but a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries.

28Anyone who rejects the law of Moses* is put to death without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

29Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace?

30We know the one who said:

“Vengeance is mine; I will repay,”
and again:
“The Lord will judge his people.”

31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32Remember the days past when, after you had been enlightened,* you endured a great contest of suffering.

33At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and affliction; at other times you associated yourselves with those so treated.

34You even joined in the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you had a better and lasting possession.

35Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense.

36You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.

37“For, after just a brief moment,
he who is to come shall come;
he shall not delay.

38But my just one shall live by faith,
and if he draws back I take no pleasure in him.”

39We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.

Matthew

Chapter 10
Rewards

40 Whoever receives you receives me,* and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.

41 Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever receives a righteous man because he is righteous will receive a righteous man’s reward.

42And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple—amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”

Luke
Chapter 16
The Parable of the Dishonest Steward

1Then he also said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward who was reported to him for squandering his property.

2He summoned him and said, ‘What is this I hear about you? Prepare a full account of your stewardship, because you can no longer be my steward.’

3The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me? I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg.
4I know what I shall do so that, when I am removed from the stewardship, they may welcome me into their homes.’

5He called in his master’s debtors one by one. To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’

6 He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note. Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’

7Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’ He replied, ‘One hundred kors* of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note; write one for eighty.’

8And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.

Application of the Parable

For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light.

9I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth,* so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

10 The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones.

11If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth, who will trust you with true wealth?

12If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another, who will give you what is yours?

13No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Psalms
Chapter 98
THE COMING OF GOD

1A psalm.
Sing a new song to the LORD,
for he has done marvelous deeds.

His right hand and holy arm
have won the victory.

2The LORD has made his victory known;

has revealed his triumph in the sight of the nations,

3He has remembered his mercy and faithfulness
toward the house of Israel.
All the ends of the earth have seen
the victory of our God.

Psalms
Chapter 99
THE HOLY KING

  1The LORD is king, the peoples tremble;
he is enthroned on the cherubim,* the earth quakes.

2Great is the LORD in Zion,
exalted above all the peoples.

3Let them praise your great and awesome name:
Holy is he!

4O mighty king, lover of justice,
you have established fairness;
you have created just rule in Jacob.

5Exalt the LORD, our God;
bow down before his footstool;
holy is he!

 EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7

HEBREWS 4:7
