SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
"MAGPAPAKITA AND DIYOS NG

Acts
Chapter 2
Peter’s Speech at Pentecost

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, “You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. Let this be known to you, and listen to my words.

15These people are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning.

16No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel:

17‘It will come to pass in the last days,’ God says,
‘that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh.
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions,
your old men shall dream dreams.

18Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids
I will pour out a portion of my spirit in those days,
and they shall prophesy.

19And I will work wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below:
blood, fire, and a cloud of smoke.

20The sun shall be turned to darkness,
and the moon to blood,
before the coming of the great and splendid day of the Lord,

21and it shall be that everyone shall be saved who calls on
the name of the Lord.’

22You who are Israelites, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean was a man commended to you by God with mighty deeds, wonders, and signs, which God worked through him in your midst, as you yourselves know.

23This man, delivered up by the set plan and foreknowledge of God, you killed, using lawless men to crucify him.

24But God raised him up, releasing him from the throes of death, because it was impossible for him to be held by it.

25For David says of him:
‘I saw the Lord ever before me,
with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.

26Therefore my heart has been glad and my tongue has exulted;
my flesh, too, will dwell in hope,

27because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld,
nor will you suffer your holy one to see corruption.
28You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

29My brothers, one can confidently say to you about the patriarch David that he died and was buried, and his tomb is in our midst to this day.

30But since he was a prophet and knew that God had sworn an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants upon his throne,

31he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that neither was he abandoned to the netherworld nor did his flesh see corruption.

32God raised this Jesus; of this we are all witnesses.

33Exalted at the right hand of God, he received the promise of the holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you (both) see and hear.

34For David did not go up into heaven, but he himself said:
‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand
35until I make your enemies your footstool.”’

36Therefore let the whole house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

37Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they asked Peter and the other apostles, “What are we to do, my brothers?”

38Peter [said] to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the holy Spirit.

39For the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call.”

40He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”

41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.

Acts

Chapter 22
Paul’s Defense before the Jerusalem Jews

1My brothers and fathers, listen to what I am about to say to you in my defense.

2When they heard him addressing them in Hebrew they became all the more quiet. And he continued,

3“I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city. At the feet of Gamaliel I was educated strictly in our ancestral law and was zealous for God, just as all of you are today.

4I persecuted this Way to death, binding both men and women and delivering them to prison.

5Even the high priest and the whole council of elders can testify on my behalf. For from them I even received letters to the brothers and set out for Damascus to bring back to Jerusalem in chains for punishment those there as well.

6“On that journey as I drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from the sky suddenly shone around me.

7I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’

8I replied, ‘Who are you, sir?’ And he said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Nazorean whom you are persecuting.’

9My companions saw the light but did not hear the voice of the one who spoke to me.

10I asked, ‘What shall I do, sir?’ The Lord answered me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told about everything appointed for you to do.’

11Since I could see nothing because of the brightness of that light, I was led by hand by my companions and entered Damascus.

12 “A certain Ananias, a devout observer of the law, and highly spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

13came to me and stood there and said, ‘Saul, my brother, regain your sight.’ And at that very moment I regained my sight and saw him.

14Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors designated you to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of his voice;

15for you will be his witness* before all to what you have seen and heard.

16Now, why delay? Get up and have yourself baptized and your sins washed away, calling upon his name.’

17After I had returned to Jerusalem and while I was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance

18and saw the Lord saying to me, ‘Hurry, leave Jerusalem at once, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

19But I replied, ‘Lord, they themselves know that from synagogue to synagogue I used to imprison and beat those who believed in you.

20And when the blood of your witness Stephen was being shed, I myself stood by giving my approval and keeping guard over the cloaks of his murderers.’

21Then he said to me, ‘Go, I shall send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

John
Chapter 16
Have Happiness on Sadness

16 A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me.”
17So some of his disciples said to one another, “What does this mean that he is saying to us, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me,’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”

18So they said, “What is this ‘little while’ [of which he speaks]? We do not know what he means.”

19Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Are you discussing with one another what I said, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?

20Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.

21When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.

22So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

23On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

24Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

Luke
Chapter 17
Saying of Faith

5And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

6The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to [this] mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

1 Peter
Chapter 1
Blessing

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you

5who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith, to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time.

6 In this you rejoice, although now for a little while you may have to suffer through various trials,

7so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold that is perishable even though tested by fire, may prove to be for praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

8Although you have not seen him you love him; even though you do not see him now yet believe in him, you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

9as you attain the goal of [your] faith, the salvation of your souls.

10 Concerning this salvation, prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and investigated it,

11investigating the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them indicated when it testified in advance to the sufferings destined for Christ and the glories to follow them.

12It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you with regard to the things that have now been announced to you by those who preached the good news to you [through] the holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels longed to look.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
