SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
"MABUTING BALITA AT PAGLILINGKOD

Luke 7:22-23

Hebrews
Chapter 5:1-10

  Jesus Compassionate High Priest

1 Every high priest is taken from among men and made their representative before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.

2He is able to deal patiently with the ignorant and erring, for he himself is beset by weakness

3and so, for this reason, must make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.

4No one takes this honor upon himself but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.

5In the same way, it was not Christ who glorified himself in becoming high priest, but rather the one who said to him:
“You are my son;
this day I have begotten you”;

6just as he says in another place:
“You are a priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek.”

7In the days when he was in the flesh, he offered prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.

8Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered;

9and when he was made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him,

10declared by God high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews
Chapter 10:1-18
One Sacrifice instead of Many

1 Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of them, it can never make perfect those who come to worship by the same sacrifices that they offer continually each year.

2Otherwise, would not the sacrifices have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, once cleansed, would no longer have had any consciousness of sins?

3But in those sacrifices there is only a yearly remembrance of sins,

4for it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats take away sins.

5For this reason, when he came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;

6holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight in.

7Then I said, ‘As is written of me in the scroll,
Behold, I come to do your will, O God.’”

8First he says, “Sacrifices and offerings, holocausts and sin offerings, you neither desired nor delighted in.” These are offered according to the law.

9Then he says, “Behold, I come to do your will.” He takes away the first to establish the second.

10By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 Every priest stands daily at his ministry, offering frequently those same sacrifices that can never take away sins.

12But this one offered one sacrifice for sins, and took his seat forever at the right hand of God;

13 now he waits until his enemies are made his footstool.

14For by one offering he has made perfect forever those who are being consecrated.

15 The holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying:

16“This is the covenant I will establish with them after those days, says the Lord:
‘I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them upon their minds,’”

17he also says:
“Their sins and their evildoing
I will remember no more.”

18Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer offering for sin.

1 Corinthians
Chapter 8:1-6

Knowledge Insufficient

1Now in regard to meat sacrificed to idols: we realize that “all of us have knowledge”; knowledge inflates with pride, but love builds up.

2If anyone supposes he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
3But if one loves God, one is known by him.

4So about the eating of meat sacrificed to idols: we know that “there is no idol in the world,” and that “there is no God but one.”

5Indeed, even though there are so-called gods in heaven and on earth (there are, to be sure, many “gods” and many “lords”),

6 yet for us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are and through whom we exist.

John
Chapter 11:1-44
The Raising of Lazarus

1Now a man was ill, Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

2Mary was the one who had anointed the Lord with perfumed oil and dried his feet with her hair; it was her brother Lazarus who was ill.

3So the sisters sent word to him, saying, “Master, the one you love is ill.”

4When Jesus heard this he said, “This illness is not to end in death, but is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

5Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

6So when he heard that he was ill, he remained for two days in the place where he was.

7Then after this he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”

8The disciples said to him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you, and you want to go back there?”

9Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If one walks during the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

10But if one walks at night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

11He said this, and then told them, “Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.”

12So the disciples said to him, “Master, if he is asleep, he will be saved.”

13But Jesus was talking about his death, while they thought that he meant ordinary sleep.

14So then Jesus said to them clearly, “Lazarus has died.

15And I am glad for you that I was not there, that you may believe. Let us go to him.”

16So Thomas, called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go to die with him.”

17When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

18Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, only about two miles away.

19And many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother.

20When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home.

21Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

22[But] even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.

23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise.”

24Martha said to him, “I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day.”

25Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,

26and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who is coming into the world.”

28When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary secretly, saying, “The teacher is here and is asking for you.

29As soon as she heard this, she rose quickly and went to him.

30For Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still where Martha had met him.

31So when the Jews who were with her in the house comforting her saw Mary get up quickly and go out, they followed her, presuming that she was going to the tomb to weep there.

32When Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

33When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping, he became perturbed and deeply troubled,

34and said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Sir, come and see.”

35And Jesus wept.

36So the Jews said, “See how he loved him.”

37But some of them said, “Could not the one who opened the eyes of the blind man have done something so that this man would not have died?”

38So Jesus, perturbed again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay across it.

39Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the dead man’s sister, said to him, “Lord, by now there will be a stench; he has been dead for four days.”

40Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?”

41So they took away the stone. And Jesus raised his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you for hearing me.

42I know that you always hear me; but because of the crowd here I have said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43And when he had said this, he cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

44The dead man came out, tied hand and foot with burial bands, and his face was wrapped in a cloth. So Jesus said to them, “Untie him and let him go.”

Luke
Chapter 7:18-23
The Messengers from John the Baptist

18 The disciples of John told him about all these things. John summoned two of his disciples

19and sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?”

20When the men came to him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?’”

21At that time he cured many of their diseases, sufferings, and evil spirits; he also granted sight to many who were blind.

22And he said to them in reply, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the good news proclaimed to them.

23And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me.”

Psalms
Chapter 23
The Lord., Shepherd and Host

 A psalm of David.

I

The LORD is my shepherd;
there is nothing I lack.

2In green pastures he makes me lie down;
to still waters he leads me;

3bhe restores my soul.
He guides me along right paths
for the sake of his name.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff comfort me.

Psalms

Chapter 22:28-29

The Prayer of an Innocent Person

IV

28All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD;
All the families of nations
will bow low before him.

29For kingship belongs to the LORD,
the ruler over the nations.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
