TEACHING OF GOSPEL
TEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD

Hebrews 10:36

Matthew
Chapter 5:3-12
The Beatitudes

3“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.

6Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.

7Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.

8 Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.

9Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.

10Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me.

12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew
Chapter 6:25-34
Dependence on God

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

26Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?

27Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?

28Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin.

29But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them.

30 If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?

31So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’

32All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
33But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides.

34Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.

John
Chapter 16:16-24
Happiness in Sadness

16“A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me.”

17So some of his disciples said to one another, “What does this mean that he is saying to us, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me,’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”

18So they said, “What is this ‘little while’ [of which he speaks]? We do not know what he means.”

19Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Are you discussing with one another what I said, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’?

20Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.

21When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that a child has been born into the world.

22So you also are now in anguish. But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

23On that day you will not question me about anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.

24Until now you have not asked anything in my name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

1 Thessalonians
Chapter 4:9-12
Mutual Charity

9On the subject of mutual charity you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.

10Indeed, you do this for all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Nevertheless we urge you, brothers, to progress even more,

11and to aspire to live a tranquil life, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your [own] hands, as we instructed you,

12that you may conduct yourselves properly toward outsiders and not depend on anyone.

2 Thessalonians
Chapter 3:6-16
Neglect of Work

6We instruct you, brothers, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, to shun any brother who conducts himself in a disorderly way and not according to the tradition they received from us.

7For you know how one must imitate us. For we did not act in a disorderly way among you,

8nor did we eat food received free from anyone. On the contrary, in toil and drudgery, night and day we worked, so as not to burden any of you.

9Not that we do not have the right. Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you might imitate us.

10In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat.

11We hear that some are conducting themselves among you in a disorderly way, by not keeping busy but minding the business of others.

12Such people we instruct and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and to eat their own food.

13But you, brothers, do not be remiss in doing good.

14If anyone does not obey our word as expressed in this letter, take note of this person not to associate with him, that he may be put to shame.

15Do not regard him as an enemy but admonish him as a brother.

16May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

17This greeting is in my own hand, Paul’s. This is the sign in every letter; this is how I write.

18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.

Hebrews
Chapter 10:19-39
Recalling the Past

19Therefore, brothers, since through the blood of Jesus we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuary

20 by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil, that is, his flesh,

21 and since we have “a great priest over the house of God,”

22let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

23Let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope, for he who made the promise is trustworthy.

24We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works.

25We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near.

26 If we sin deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins

27but a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries.

28Anyone who rejects the law of Moses is put to death without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

29Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace?

30We know the one who said:
“Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
and again:
“The Lord will judge his people.”

31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32Remember the days past when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a great contest of suffering.

33At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and affliction; at other times you associated yourselves with those so treated.

34You even joined in the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you had a better and lasting possession.

35Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense.

36You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.

37“For, after just a brief moment,
he who is to come shall come;
he shall not delay.

38But my just one shall live by faith,
and if he draws back I take no pleasure in him.”

39We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life.

Sirach
Chapter 13
Caution Regarding Associates

22 When the rich speak they have many supporters; though what they say is repugnant, it wins approval.
When the poor speak people say, “Come, come, speak up!”
though they are talking sense, they get no hearing.

23When the rich speak all are silent,
their wisdom people extol to the clouds.
When the poor speak people say: “Who is that?”
If they stumble, people knock them down.

24Wealth is good where there is no sin;
but poverty is evil by the standards of the proud.

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
