SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
papatayin." Romans 8:35-36
"Magbigay
marami." Mark 14:22-241 John
Chapter 4
God’s Love and Christian Life
7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
8 Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.
9 In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.
10 In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another.
12 No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.
13 This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit.
14Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world.
15Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God.
16We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.
God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him.
17In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world.
18There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love.
19We love because he first loved us.
20If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God* whom he has not seen.
21This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
8 Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.

Chapter 5
Advice to the Community
Advice to Presbyters
1 So I exhort the presbyters* among you, as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed.
2 Tend the flock of God in your midst, [overseeing] not by constraint but willingly, as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly.
3 Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock.
4 And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.*
Advice to the Community
5 Likewise, you younger members, be subject to the presbyters. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for:
“God opposes the proud
but bestows favor on the humble.”
6 So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
7 Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.
8 Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour.
9 Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings.
10 The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little.
11To him be dominion forever. Amen.

Chapter 13
1 If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.
2 And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,
5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
6it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.f
8 Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.
9 For we know partially and we prophesy partially,
10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
11 When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.
12 At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.
13 So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
2 And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.

Chapter 2
13 But we ought to give thanks to God for you always,
brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits for
salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in truth.
14 To this end he has [also] called you through our gospel to possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, either by an oral statement or by a letter of ours.*
16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace,
17encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word.

Chapter 11
Faith of the Ancients
29By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if it were dry land, but when the Egyptians attempted it they were drowned.x
30By faith the walls of Jericho fell after being encircled for seven days.
31By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish with the disobedient, for she had received the spies in peace.z
32What more shall I say? I have not time to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,
33who by faith conquered kingdoms, did what was righteous, obtained the promises; they closed the mouths of lions,
34put out raging fires, escaped the devouring sword; out of weakness they were made powerful, became strong in battle, and turned back foreign invaders.
35Women received back their dead through resurrection. Some were tortured and would not accept deliverance, in order to obtain a better resurrection.
36Others endured mockery, scourging, even chains and imprisonment.
37They were stoned, sawed in two, put to death at sword’s point; they went about in skins of sheep or goats, needy, afflicted, tormented.
38The world was not worthy of them. They wandered about in deserts and on mountains, in caves and in crevices in the earth.
39Yet all these, though approved because of their faith, did not receive what had been promised. 40God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect.*

Romans
Chapter 8
God’s Indomitable Love in Christ
29 For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
30And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified.
31* What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?
33 Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who acquits us.
34Who will condemn? It is Christ [Jesus] who died, rather, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.
35What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
36As it is written:b
“For your sake we are being slain all the day;
we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.
37No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things,* nor future things, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth,* nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Luke
Chapter 6
Judging Others
38 Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”
39 And he told them a parable, “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit?
40 No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when fully trained, every disciple will be like his teacher.
41Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
42How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’ when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.
Mark
Chapter 14
The Lord’s Supper
23Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
24He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed* for many.
25Amen, I say to you, I shall not drink again the fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”
26Then, after singing a hymn,* they went out to the Mount of Olives.g
Psalms
Chapter 59
Complaints against Blood thirsty Enemy
2Rescue me from my enemies, my God;
lift me out of reach of my foes.
3Deliver me from evildoers;
from the bloodthirsty save me.
lift me out of reach of my foes.
3Deliver me from evildoers;
from the bloodthirsty save me.
10My strength, for you I watch;
you, God, are my fortress,
11my loving God.
and show me my fallen foes.
you, God, are my fortress,
11my loving God.
II
May God go before me,and show me my fallen foes.
Slay them, God,
lest they deceive my people.
Shake them by your power;
Lord, our shield, bring them down.
Shake them by your power;
Lord, our shield, bring them down.
17But I shall sing of your strength,
extol your mercy at dawn,
For you are my fortress,
my refuge in time of trouble.
18My strength, your praise I will sing;
you, God, are my fortress, my loving God.
extol your mercy at dawn,
For you are my fortress,
my refuge in time of trouble.
18My strength, your praise I will sing;
you, God, are my fortress, my loving God.
Psalms
Chapter 69
A cry of Anguish in Great Distress
2Save me, God,
for the waters* have reached my neck.
3I have sunk into the mire of the deep,
where there is no foothold.
I have gone down to the watery depths;
the flood overwhelms me.
for the waters* have reached my neck.
3I have sunk into the mire of the deep,
where there is no foothold.
I have gone down to the watery depths;
the flood overwhelms me.
34For the LORD hears the poor,
and does not spurn those in bondage.
35Let the heaven and the earth praise him,
the seas and whatever moves in them!”
and does not spurn those in bondage.
35Let the heaven and the earth praise him,
the seas and whatever moves in them!”

EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
17Sa
