TEACHING OF GOSPEL
TEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
"MARRIAGE LIFE
AND LIFE PROTECTIONS"

John 14:13

1 Corinthians
Chapter 7:1-16
Advice to the Married

1Now in regard to the matters about which you wrote: “It is a good thing for a man not to touch a woman,”

2but because of cases of immorality every man should have his own wife, and every woman her own husband.

3The husband should fulfill his duty toward his wife, and likewise the wife toward her husband.

4A wife does not have authority over her own body, but rather her husband, and similarly a husband does not have authority over his own body, but rather his wife.

5Do not deprive each other, except perhaps by mutual consent for a time, to be free for prayer, but then return to one another, so that Satan may not tempt you through your lack of self-control.

6This I say by way of concession, however, not as a command.

7Indeed, I wish everyone to be as I am, but each has a particular gift from God, one of one kind and one of another.

8 Now to the unmarried and to widows, I say: it is a good thing for them to remain as they are, as I do,

9but if they cannot exercise self-control they should marry, for it is better to marry than to be on fire.

10 To the married, however, I give this instruction (not I, but the Lord): A wife should not separate from her husband

11—and if she does separate she must either remain single or become reconciled to her husband—and a husband should not divorce his wife.

12To the rest I say (not the Lord): if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she is willing to go on living with him, he should not divorce her;

13and if any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he is willing to go on living with her, she should not divorce her husband.

14For the unbelieving husband is made holy through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy through the brother. Otherwise your children would be unclean, whereas in fact they are holy.

15If the unbeliever separates, however, let him separate. The brother or sister is not bound in such cases; God has called you to peace.

16For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband; or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

1 Corinthians
Chapter 7:25-40
Advice to Virgins and Widows

25Now in regard to virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.

26So this is what I think best because of the present distress: that it is a good thing for a person to remain as he is.

27Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek a separation. Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife.

28If you marry, however, you do not sin, nor does an unmarried woman sin if she marries; but such people will experience affliction in their earthly life, and I would like to spare you that.

29 I tell you, brothers, the time is running out. From now on, let those having wives act as not having them,

30those weeping as not weeping, those rejoicing as not rejoicing, those buying as not owning,

31those using the world as not using it fully. For the world in its present form is passing away.

32I should like you to be free of anxieties. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord.

33But a married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

34and he is divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit. A married woman, on the other hand, is anxious about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

35I am telling you this for your own benefit, not to impose a restraint upon you, but for the sake of propriety and adherence to the Lord without distraction.

36 If anyone thinks he is behaving improperly toward his virgin, and if a critical moment has come and so it has to be, let him do as he wishes. He is committing no sin; let them get married.

37The one who stands firm in his resolve, however, who is not under compulsion but has power over his own will, and has made up his mind to keep his virgin, will be doing well.

38So then, the one who marries his virgin does well; the one who does not marry her will do better.

39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whomever she wishes, provided that it be in the Lord.

40She is more blessed, though, in my opinion, if she remains as she is, and I think that I too have the Spirit of God.

1 Thessalonians
Chapter 4:3-8
Holiness in Sexual Contact

3This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality,

4that each of you know how to acquire a wife for himself in holiness and honor,

5not in lustful passion as do the Gentiles who do not know God;

6not to take advantage of or exploit a brother in this matter, for the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you before and solemnly affirmed.

7For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness.

8Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not a human being but God, who [also] gives his holy Spirit to you.

Romans
Chapter 8:1-13
The Flesh and the Spirit

1Hence, now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed you from the law of sin and death.

3For what the law, weakened by the flesh, was powerless to do, this God has done: by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for the sake of sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

4so that the righteous decree of the law might be fulfilled in us, who live not according to the flesh but according to the spirit.

5For those who live according to the flesh are concerned with the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit with the things of the spirit.

6The concern of the flesh is death, but the concern of the spirit is life and peace.

7For the concern of the flesh is hostility toward God; it does not submit to the law of God, nor can it;

8and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9But you are not in the flesh; on the contrary, you are in the spirit, if only the Spirit of God dwells in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

10But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

11If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you.

12Consequently, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

13For if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Ephesians
Chapter 2:1-10
Generosity of God’s Plan

1 You were dead in your transgressions and sins

2in which you once lived following the age of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the disobedient.

3All of us once lived among them in the desires of our flesh, following the wishes of the flesh and the impulses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest.

4But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love he had for us,

5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, brought us to life with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6raised us up with him, and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus,

7that in the ages to come he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God;

9it is not from works, so no one may boast.

10For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.

2 Corinthians
Chapter 8:1-15
Generosity in Giving

1 We want you to know, brothers, of the grace of God that has been given to the churches of Macedonia,

2 for in a severe test of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their profound poverty overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.

3 For according to their means, I can testify, and beyond their means, spontaneously,

4they begged us insistently for the favor of taking part in the service to the holy ones,

5and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us through the will of God,

6so that we urged Titus that, as he had already begun, he should also complete for you this gracious act also.

7 Now as you excel in every respect, in faith, discourse, knowledge, all earnestness, and in the love we have for you, may you excel in this gracious act also.

8I say this not by way of command, but to test the genuineness of your love by your concern for others.

9 For you know the gracious act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sake he became poor although he was rich, so that by his poverty you might become rich.

10And I am giving counsel in this matter, for it is appropriate for you who began not only to act but to act willingly last year:

11complete it now, so that your eager willingness may be matched by your completion of it out of what you have.

12 For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have;

13not that others should have relief while you are burdened, but that as a matter of equality

14your surplus at the present time should supply their needs, so that their surplus may also supply your needs, that there may be equality.

15As it is written:
“Whoever had much did not have more,
and whoever had little did not have less.”

John
Chapter 14:1-14
Last Supper Discourses

1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.

2In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.

4Where [I] am going you know the way.

5Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”

6Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth* and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

7If you know me, then you will also know my Father.* From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

8Philip said to him, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

9Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.

11Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves.

12Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.

13And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.

Chapter 7
Duties of Family Life, Religion and Charity

18Do not barter a friend for money,
or a true brother for the gold of Ophir.

19Do not reject a sensible wife;
a gracious wife is more precious than pearls.

20Do not mistreat a servant who works faithfully,
or laborers who devote themselves to their task.

21Love wise servants as yourself;
do not refuse them freedom.

22Do you have livestock? Look after them;
if they are dependable, keep them.

23Do you have sons? Correct them
and cure their stubbornness in their early youth.

24Do you have daughters? Keep them chaste,
and do not be indulgent to them.

25Give your daughter in marriage, and a worry comes to an end;
but give her to a sensible man.

26Do you have a wife? Do not mistreat her,
but do not trust the wife you hate.

27With your whole heart honor your father;
your mother’s birth pangs do not forget.

28Remember, of these parents you were born;
what can you give them for all they gave you?

29With all your soul fear God
and revere his priests.

30With all your strength love your Maker
and do not neglect his ministers.

31Honor God and respect the priest;
give him his portion as you have been commanded:
First fruits and contributions,
his portion of victims and holy offerings.

32To the poor also extend your hand,
that your blessing may be complete.

33Give your gift to all the living,
and do not withhold your kindness from the dead.

34Do not avoid those who weep,
but mourn with those who mourn.

35Do not hesitate to visit the sick,
because for such things you will be loved.

36In whatever you do, remember your last days,

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
