THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT  Matthew Chapter 22:34-40SEED GROWS FOR ITSELF Mark Chapter 4:26-29THE FEEDING OF THE FIVE THOUSAND  Mark Chapter 6:34-44
THE LORD'S PRAYER Luke Chapter 11:1-13

Matthew
Chapter 22

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

34
19 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together,
35
and one of them [a scholar of the law] 20 tested him by asking,
36
"Teacher, 21 which commandment in the law is the greatest?"
37
He said to him, 22 "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38
This is the greatest and the first commandment.
39
The second is like it: 23 You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40
24 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."

Mark
Chapter 4

SEED GROWS FOR ITSELF

26
He said,"This is how it is with the kingdom of God; 6 it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land
27
and would sleep and rise night and day and the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how.
28
Of its own accord the land yields fruit, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29
And when the grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once, for the harvest has come."

Mark
Chapter 6
THE FEEDING OF THE FIVE THOUSAND

34
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.
35
16 By now it was already late and his disciples approached him and said, "This is a deserted place and it is already very late.
36
Dismiss them so that they can go to the surrounding farms and villages and buy themselves something to eat."
37
He said to them in reply, "Give them some food yourselves." But they said to him, "Are we to buy two hundred days' wages worth of food and give it to them to eat?"
38
He asked them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they had found out they said, "Five loaves and two fish."
39
So he gave orders to have them sit down in groups on the green grass.
40
17 The people took their places in rows by hundreds and by fifties.
41
Then, taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to (his) disciples to set before the people; he also divided the two fish among them all. 18
42
They all ate and were satisfied.
43
And they picked up twelve wicker baskets full of fragments and what was left of the fish.
44
Those who ate (of the loaves) were five thousand men.

Luke
Chapter 11
THE LORD'S PRAYER
1
1 2 He was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples."
2
3 He said to them, "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.
3
Give us each day our daily bread 4
4
and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test."
5
And he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6
for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,'
7
and he says in reply from within, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.'
8
I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence.
9
"And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
10
For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
11
What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish?
12
Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?
13
If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the holy Spirit 5 to those who ask him?"

Psalms
Chapter 65

THANKSGIVING FOR GODS BLESSING

10
5 6 You visit the earth and water it, make it abundantly fertile. God's stream is filled with water; with it you supply the world with grain. Thus do you prepare the earth:
11
you drench plowed furrows, and level their ridges. With showers you keep the ground soft, blessing its young sprouts.
12
7 You adorn the year with your bounty; your paths drip with fruitful rain.
13
The untilled meadows also drip; the hills are robed with joy.
14
The pastures are clothed with flocks, the valleys blanketed with grain; they cheer and sing for joy.

Psalms
Chapter 66

THANKSGIVING FOR GODS BLESSING

8
Bless our God, you peoples; loudly sound his praise,
9
Who has kept us alive and not allowed our feet to slip.
10
You tested us, O God, tried us as silver tried by fire.
11
You led us into a snare; you bound us at the waist as captives.
12
3 You let captors set foot on our neck; we went through fire and water; then you led us out to freedom.

FOR OUR SPIRITUAL BELIEF IN LIFE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17
