SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
1 Timothy
Chapter 4:6-16
Counsel to Timothy
6
If you will give these instructions to the brothers, you will be a good
minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the words of the faith and of
the sound teaching you have followed.
7Avoid profane and silly myths. Train yourself for devotion,
8for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future.
9This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
10For this we toil and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things.
12Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
13Until I arrive, attend to the reading, exhortation, and teaching.
14Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate.
15Be diligent in these matters, be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to everyone.
16Attend to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in both tasks, for by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
6Instead, someone has testified somewhere:
“What is man that you are mindful of him,
or the son of man that you care for him?
7You made him for a little while lower than the angels;
you crowned him with glory and honor,
8subjecting all things under his feet.”
In “subjecting” all things [to him], he left nothing not “subject to him.” Yet at present we do not see “all things subject to him,”
9but we do see Jesus “crowned with glory and honor” because he suffered death, he who “for a little while” was made “lower than the angels,” that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
10For it was fitting that he, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many children to glory, should make the leader to their salvation perfect through suffering.
11He who consecrates and those who are being consecrated all have one origin. Therefore, he is not ashamed to call them “brothers,”
12saying:
“I will proclaim your name to my brothers,
in the midst of the assembly I will praise you”;
13and again:
“I will put my trust in him”;
and again:
“Behold, I and the children God has given me.”
14Now since the children share in blood and flesh, he likewise shared in them, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
15and free those who through fear of death had been subject to slavery all their life.
16Surely he did not help angels but rather the descendants of Abraham;
17therefore, he had to become like his brothers in every way, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest before God to expiate the sins of the people.
18Because he himself was tested through what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested.
8Therefore, it says:
“He ascended on high and took prisoners captive;
he gave gifts to men.”
9What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended into the lower [regions] of the earth?
10The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
11 And he gave some as apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers,
12to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
13until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ,
14so that we may no longer be infants, tossed by waves and swept along by every wind of teaching arising from human trickery, from their cunning in the interests of deceitful scheming.
15Rather, living the truth in love, we should grow in every way into him who is the head, Christ,
16from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, with the proper functioning of each part, brings about the body’s growth and builds itself up in love.
1a Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one can do these signs that you are doing unless God is with him.”
3Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.
4Nicodemus said to him, “How can a person once grown old be born again? Surely he cannot reenter his mother’s womb and be born again, can he?”
5Jesus answered, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.
6What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.
7Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’
8The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9Nicodemus answered and said to him, “How can this happen?”
10Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?
11Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony.
12If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
13No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.
14And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”
16For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.
17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
18Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil.
20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed.
21But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
34 Beware that your hearts
do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of
daily life, and that day catch you by surprise
35like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth.
36Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.

The Canticle of Mary
46 And Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
47my spirit rejoices in God my savior.
48For he has looked upon his handmaid’s lowliness;
behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.
49The Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
50His mercy is from age to age
to those who fear him.
51He has shown might with his arm,
dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart.
52He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones
but lifted up the lowly.
53The hungry he has filled with good things;
the rich he has sent away empty.
54He has helped Israel his servant,
remembering his mercy,
55according to his promise to our fathers,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
56Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.

EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
17Sa
