Ephesians
Chapter 2:11-22
One in Christ
11Therefore, remember that
at one time you, Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by
those called the circumcision, which is done in the flesh by human
hands,
12were at that time without Christ, alienated from the community of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.
13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have become near by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, he who made both one and broke down the dividing wall of enmity, through his flesh,
15abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims, that he might create in himself one new person in place of the two, thus establishing peace,
16and might reconcile both with God, in one body, through the cross, putting that enmity to death by it.
17He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,
18for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
19So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones and members of the household of God,
20built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone.
21Through him the whole structure is held together and grows into a temple sacred in the Lord;
22in him you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Chapter 4:1-12
Causes of Division
1Where do the wars and where do the conflicts among you come from? Is it not from your passions* that make war within your members?
2You covet but do not possess. You kill and envy but you cannot obtain; you fight and wage war. You do not possess because you do not ask.
3You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
4Adulterers! Do you not know that to be a lover of the world means enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wants to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5Or do you suppose that the scripture speaks without meaning when it says, “The spirit that he has made to dwell in us tends toward jealousy”?
6But he bestows a greater grace; therefore, it says:
“God resists the proud,
but gives grace to the humble.”
7So submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds.
9Begin to lament, to mourn, to weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy into dejection.
10Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.
11Do not speak evil of one another, brothers. Whoever speaks evil of a brother or judges his brother speaks evil of the law and judges the law. If you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.
12There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to judge your neighbor?

Chapter 3
Exhortation to Preparedness
"Ang Mabuting Balita ng Kapayapaan"
"Naparito
upang makapamuhay tayo tahimik at payapa, marangal at may kabanalan."
1Timothy 2:1-2
"Ano
James 5"7,10
"Pakinggan
ninyo ito kayong mayayaman! Tumangis kayo at humagulgol dahil sa
kapighatiang darating sa inyo." Nagpakalayaw kayo at nagpasasa dito sa
lupa. Nagpataba kayong parang mga hayop na papatayin. Hinatulan ninyo
pananggalang." 2Corinthians 6:6
"Kaya
nga, mga minamahal, samantalang kayo'y naghihintay, sikapin ninyong
mamuhay na mapayapa, walang dungis at kapintasan." 2Peter 3:14Ephesians

Chapter 2:1-15
Prayer and Conduct
1First of all, then, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone,
2for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity.
3This is good and pleasing to God our savior,
4who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.
5For there is one God.
There is also one mediator between God and the human race,
Christ Jesus, himself human,
6who gave himself as ransom for all.
This was the testimony* at the proper time.
7For this I was appointed preacher and apostle (I am speaking the truth, I am not lying), teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument.
9Similarly, [too,] women should adorn themselves with proper conduct, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hairstyles and gold ornaments, or pearls, or expensive clothes,
10but rather, as befits women who profess reverence for God, with good deeds.
11A woman must receive instruction silently and under complete control.
12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man. She must be quiet.
13For Adam was formed first, then Eve.
14Further, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and transgressed.
15But she will be saved through motherhood, provided women persevere in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

Chapter 5:1-6
Warning to the Rich
1Come now, you rich, weep and wail over your impending miseries.
2Your wealth has rotted away, your clothes have become moth-eaten,
3your gold and silver have corroded, and that corrosion will be a testimony against you; it will devour your flesh like a fire. You have stored up treasure for the last days.
4Behold, the wages you withheld from the workers who harvested your fields are crying aloud, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
5You have lived on earth in luxury and pleasure; you have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter.
6You have condemned; you have murdered the righteous one; he offers you no resistance.
7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.
8You too must be patient. Make your hearts firm, because the coming of the Lord is at hand.
9Do not complain, brothers, about one another, that you may not be judged. Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates.
10Take as an example of hardship and patience, brothers, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
11Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, because “the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No,” that you may not incur condemnation.

The Experience of the Ministry
1 Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
2For he says:
“In an acceptable time I heard you,
and on the day of salvation I helped you.”
Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
3c We cause no one to stumble* in anything, in order that no fault may be found with our ministry;
4 on the contrary, in everything we commend ourselves as ministers of God, through much endurance, in afflictions, hardships, constraints,
5beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, vigils, fasts;
6 by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, in a holy spirit, in unfeigned love,
7in truthful speech, in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness at the right and at the left;
8through glory and dishonor, insult and praise. We are treated as deceivers and yet are truthful;
9as unrecognized and yet acknowledged; as dying and behold we live; as chastised and yet not put to death;
10as sorrowful yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
11 We have spoken frankly to you, Corinthians; our heart is open wide.
12You are not constrained by us; you are constrained by your own affections.
13As recompense in kind (I speak as to my children), be open yourselves.
2For he says:

Chapter 3
Exhortation to Preparedness
11Since everything is to be
dissolved in this way, what sort of persons ought [you] to be,
conducting yourselves in holiness and devotion,
12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved in flames and the elements melted by fire.
13But according to his promise we await new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14Therefore, beloved, since you await these things, be eager to be found without spot or blemish before him, at peace.
15And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you,
16speaking of these things as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures.
17Therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, be on your guard not to be led into the error of the unprincipled and to fall from your own stability.
18But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. [Amen.]

EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
17Sa
HEBREWS 4:7
