Ngunit
kung masama ang aliping iyon, sasabihin niya sa sarili, ' Matatagalan

Chapter 10:35-45
Ambition of James and John
35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.”
36He replied, “What do you wish [me] to do for you?”
37They answered him, “Grant that in your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left.”
38 Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?”
39They said to him, “We can.” Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized;
40but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared.”
41When the ten heard this, they became indignant at James and John.
42 Jesus summoned them and said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt.
43But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant;
44whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.
45For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew
15 “When you see the desolating abomination spoken of through Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
16then those in Judea must flee to the mountains,
17 a person on the housetop must not go down to get things out of his house,
18a person in the field must not return to get his cloak.
19Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days.
20 Pray that your flight not be in winter or on the sabbath,
21 for at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will be.
22And if those days had not been shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect they will be shortened.
23 If anyone says to you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.
24False messiahs and false prophets will arise, and they will perform signs and wonders so great as to deceive, if that were possible, even the elect.
25Behold, I have told it to you beforehand.
26So if they say to you, ‘He is in the desert,’ do not go out there; if they say, ‘He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
27 For just as lightning comes from the east and is seen as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
Luke
Chapter 11:1-4
The Lord’s Prayer
1 He was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.”
2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3Give us each day our daily bread
4and forgive us our sins
for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us,
and do not subject us to the final test.”
Romans
8Owe nothing to anyone, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
9The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not kill; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this saying, [namely] “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
10Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence, love is the fulfillment of the law.
9Let love be sincere; hate what is evil, hold on to what is good;
10love one another with mutual affection; anticipate one another in showing honor.
11Do not grow slack in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
12Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.
13Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute [you], bless and do not curse them.
15Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
16Have the same regard for one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly; do not be wise in your own estimation.
17Do not repay anyone evil for evil; be concerned for what is noble in the sight of all.
18If possible, on your part, live at peace with all.
19Beloved, do not look for revenge but leave room for the wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
20Rather, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.”
21Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.
Galatians
1Brothers, even if a person
is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should correct
that one in a gentle spirit, looking to yourself, so that you also may
not be tempted.
2Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.
3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deluding himself.
4 Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else;
5for each will bear his own load.
6 One who is being instructed in the word should share all good things with his instructor.
7Make no mistake: God is not mocked, for a person will reap only what he sows,
8because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.
9Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up.
10So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith.
2 Corinthians
1 For we know that if our earthly dwelling, a tent, should be destroyed, we have a building from God, a dwelling not made with hands, eternal in heaven.
2 For in this tent we groan, longing to be further clothed with our heavenly habitation
3if indeed, when we have taken it off, we shall not be found naked.
4For while we are in this tent we groan and are weighed down, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
5Now the one who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a first installment.
6 So we are always courageous, although we know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord,
7for we walk by faith, not by sight.
8Yet we are courageous, and we would rather leave the body and go home to the Lord.
9Therefore, we aspire to please him, whether we are at home or away.
10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive recompense, according to what he did in the body, whether good or evil.

O God on Zion;
To you our vows* must be fulfilled,

To you all flesh must come

We are overcome by our sins;

EFESO 4:17-18 5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
17Sa
