TEACHING OF GOSPEL
TEACHING OF FAITH
SPIRITUAL SALVATION'S
MESSAGE OF GOD
"HAVE FAITH TO GOD THRU JESUS CHRIST AND
DEFEAT SUFFERINGS IN LIFE"

James 5:10-11

Matthew
Chapter 11:28-29
The Gentle Mastery of Christ

28 Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Luke
Chapter 12:22-34
Dependence on God

22 He said to [his] disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life and what you will eat, or about your body and what you will wear.

23For life is more than food and the body more than clothing.

24Notice the ravens: they do not sow or reap; they have neither storehouse nor barn, yet God feeds them. How much more important are you than birds!

25Can any of you by worrying add a moment to your life-span?

26If even the smallest things are beyond your control, why are you anxious about the rest?

27Notice how the flowers grow. They do not toil or spin. But I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of them.

28If God so clothes the grass in the field that grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?

29As for you, do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not worry anymore.

30All the nations of the world seek for these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these other things will be given you besides.

32Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

33Sell your belongings and give alms. Provide money bags for yourselves that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven that no thief can reach nor moth destroy.

34For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.

Luke
Chapter 4:1-13
The Temptation of Jesus

1 Filled with the holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert

2for forty days, to be tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over he was hungry.

3The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

4Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone.’”

5Then he took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a single instant.

6The devil said to him, “I shall give to you all this power and their glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I may give it to whomever I wish.

7All this will be yours, if you worship me.”

8Jesus said to him in reply, “It is written:
‘You shall worship the Lord, your God,
and him alone shall you serve.’”

9 Then he led him to Jerusalem, made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here,

10for it is written:
‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,’

11and:
‘With their hands they will support you,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”

12Jesus said to him in reply, “It also says, ‘You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.’”

13 When the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time.

Hebrew
Chapter 11:1-40
Faith of the Ancients

1Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen.

2Because of it the ancients were well attested.

3 By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, so that what is visible came into being through the invisible.

4 By faith Abel offered to God a sacrifice greater than Cain’s. Through this he was attested to be righteous, God bearing witness to his gifts, and through this, though dead, he still speaks.

5By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and “he was found no more because God had taken him.” Before he was taken up, he was attested to have pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

7By faith Noah, warned about what was not yet seen, with reverence built an ark for the salvation of his household. Through this he condemned the world and inherited the righteousness that comes through faith.

8By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; he went out, not knowing where he was to go.

9By faith he sojourned in the promised land as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs of the same promise;

10for he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and maker is God.

11By faith he received power to generate, even though he was past the normal age—and Sarah herself was sterile—for he thought that the one who had made the promise was trustworthy.

12So it was that there came forth from one man, himself as good as dead, descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sands on the seashore.

13All these died in faith. They did not receive what had been promised but saw it and greeted it from afar and acknowledged themselves to be strangers and aliens on earth,

14for those who speak thus show that they are seeking a homeland.

15If they had been thinking of the land from which they had come, they would have had opportunity to return.

16But now they desire a better homeland, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

17By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son,

18of whom it was said, “Through Isaac descendants shall bear your name.”

19 He reasoned that God was able to raise even from the dead, and he received Isaac back as a symbol.

20By faith regarding things still to come Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau.

21By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and “bowed in worship, leaning on the top of his staff.”

22By faith Joseph, near the end of his life, spoke of the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his bones.

23 By faith Moses was hidden by his parents for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;

 25he chose to be ill-treated along with the people of God rather than enjoy the fleeting pleasure of sin.

26He considered the reproach of the Anointed greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the recompense.

27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s fury, for he persevered as if seeing the one who is invisible.

28By faith he kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

29By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if it were dry land, but when the Egyptians attempted it they were drowned.

30By faith the walls of Jericho fell after being encircled for seven days.

31By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish with the disobedient, for she had received the spies in peace.

32What more shall I say? I have not time to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,

33who by faith conquered kingdoms, did what was righteous, obtained the promises; they closed the mouths of lions,

34put out raging fires, escaped the devouring sword; out of weakness they were made powerful, became strong in battle, and turned back foreign invaders.

35Women received back their dead through resurrection. Some were tortured and would not accept deliverance, in order to obtain a better resurrection.

36Others endured mockery, scourging, even chains and imprisonment.

37They were stoned, sawed in two, put to death at sword’s point; they went about in skins of sheep or goats, needy, afflicted, tormented.

38The world was not worthy of them. They wandered about in deserts and on mountains, in caves and in crevices in the earth.

39Yet all these, though approved because of their faith, did not receive what had been promised.

40God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect.

Galatians
Chapter 6:1-10
Life in the Community of Christ

1Brothers, even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should correct that one in a gentle spirit, looking to yourself, so that you also may not be tempted.

2Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.

3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deluding himself.

4 Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else;

5for each will bear his own load.

6 One who is being instructed in the word should share all good things with his instructor.

7Make no mistake: God is not mocked, for a person will reap only what he sows,

8because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.

9Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up.

10So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith.

1 Thessalonians
Chapter 4:9-12
Mutual Charity

9On the subject of mutual charity you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.

10Indeed, you do this for all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Nevertheless we urge you, brothers, to progress even more,

11and to aspire to live a tranquil life, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your [own] hands, as we instructed you,

12that you may conduct yourselves properly toward outsiders and not depend on anyone.

Mark
Chapter 8:34-38
The Conditions of Discipleship

34He summoned the crowd with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

35For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and that of the gospel will save it.

36What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?

37What could one give in exchange for his life?

38Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this faithless and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

John
Chapter 1:1-17 The Word become Flesh

1In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

2He was in the beginning with God.

3 All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing came to be.
What came to be

4through him was life,
and this life was the light of the human race;

5 the light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 A man named John was sent from God.

7He came for testimony, to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.

8He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.

9The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

10He was in the world,
and the world came to be through him,
but the world did not know him.

11He came to what was his own,
but his own people did not accept him.

12 But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name,

13 who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a man’s decision but of God.

14And the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us,
and we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth.

15 John testified to him and cried out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’”

16From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace,

17because while the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, has revealed him.

James
Chapter 5:7-12
Patience and Oaths

7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.

8You too must be patient. Make your hearts firm, because the coming of the Lord is at hand.

9Do not complain, brothers, about one another, that you may not be judged. Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates.

10Take as an example of hardship and patience, brothers, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

11Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, because “the Lord is compassionate and merciful.”

12 But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No,” that you may not incur condemnation.

Psalms
Chapter 27
Trust in God

  7Hear my voice, LORD, when I call;
have mercy on me and answer me.

8“Come,” says my heart, “seek his face”;
your face, LORD, do I seek!

9Do not hide your face from me;
do not repel your servant in anger.
You are my salvation; do not cast me off;
do not forsake me, God my savior!

10Even if my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will take me in.
II
11LORD, show me your way;
lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.

12Do not abandon me to the desire of my foes;
malicious and lying witnesses have risen against me.

13I believe I shall see the LORD’s goodness
in the land of the living.

14Wait for the LORD, take courage;
be stouthearted, wait for the LORD!

EFESO 4:17-18  5:15-17 HEBREWS 4"7
